Cause:

The Lotus file is from an early Lotus version that Word cannot convert.

Solution:

Export the worksheet to Excel, Structured Text, or Tabular Text format and then attempt to convert to Word. Or export the worksheet under the 1-2-3 Worksheet format, import it to Excel, save it as an Excel file, and then convert it to Word.
